JUBA – The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) accused the National Congress Party (NCP) of Khartoum of warmongering and training of terrorists from amongst the South Sudan militia and calls on international community and human rights organizations to investigate mistreatment of South Sudanese nationals in Sudan by the regime in collaboration with militias.
The SPLM Secretary for Information, Culture and Communication Bol Makueng reacted in a press conference held yesterday in the SPLM Secretariat and attended by one of victims who narrated the ordeal of South Sudanese in Sudan.
The Sudan government has failed to implement CPA provisions for Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile which promised for the right of popular consultation and chose to wage war against the people of these areas and Darfur instead, said Makueng.
He said that four victims who escaped from the ghost prisons in Fatihab, Khartoum Bahari and Wad Medani separately talked over the phone and all of them concurred on the mistreatment the NCP government in Khartoum through militia groups are inflicting on South Sudanese by forceful continuous conscription and taking them to either Southern Kordofan or Blue Nile for military training and using these forces to fight its senseless war.
Besides the military training the captives are also being trained to be suicide bombers who will later be sent to target senior government officials and South Sudan missions aboard, said Makuemg.
This report has reached us here through South Sudanese who escaped attempts made by South Sudan enemies, adding that these victims made their ways out in horrible situation by paying ransom to militia leaders used by Khartoum authority, he asserted.
He emphasized that to reward these militias, the Sudan government has resorted to stealing oil that belongs to South Sudan assuring the public that the NCP is an organization of thieves who are trying to use the African Union to be a rubber stamp in this daylight robbery.
Makueng charged the SPLM-DC of being still sympathizers of Khartoum and its leadership when it criticized the Council of Ministers order to shut-down the oil pipeline.
“We still have political parties in South Sudanese that still under the NCP camp and to proof that the SPLM-DC despite massive protest across the country supporting the decision of Council of Minister, criticize its of which man with sense in this country cannot do it, said Makueng
We condemn this attitude and NCP must be penalize for all horrendous crimes and the theft of South Sudan oil and call South Sudanese to unite for one purpose, he added.
