Could South Sudan top leaders suspend their exterior Christmas leave to liberate the occupied parts of the country?

December is an important month in Christian world; according toWikipedia, the free encyclopedia,Christmas literally “Christ’s mass”) is an annual commemoration of the birth of Jesus Christ, celebrated generally on December 25 as a religious and cultural holiday by billions of people around the world. A feast central to the Christian liturgical year, it closes the Advent season and initiates the twelve days of Christmastide. Christmas is a civil holiday in many of the world’s nations, is celebrated by an increasing number of non-Christians, and is an integral part of the Christmas and holiday season.Christmas Day is celebrated as a major festival and public holiday in countries around the world, including many whose populations are mostly non-Christian. In some non-Christian countries, periods of former colonial rule introduced the celebration (e.g. Hong Kong); in others, Christian minorities or foreign cultural influences have led populations to observe the holiday. Countries such as Japan and Korea, where Christmas is popular despite there being only a small number of Christians, have adopted many of the secular aspects of Christmas, such as gift-giving, decorations and Christmas trees.Among countries with a strong Christian tradition, a variety of Christmas celebrations have developed that incorporates regional and local cultures. For Christians, participating in a religious service plays an important part in the recognition of the season. Christmas, along with Easter, is the period of highest annual church attendance.  Nevertheless, Christmas feast is one of most important occasion for South Sudanese Christians. It is a time where some of south Sudanese whose families are outside the country, do travel to spend Christmas holiday with their family. Although, it is good chance for most of our leaders to enjoy Christmas with their families outside South Sudan, yet their absence in the country had negative impact on some country issues, such a security. It is a time where Khartoum uses to intensify its aggression against South Sudan. Before independent, Khartoum had exploited the absent of some key leaders in the country and launched heavy attack against our positions in northern of part country, such as Abyei and Karsana in Unity State, in that invasion south Sudan had lost both our soldiers and civilians.  Those mentioned incidents had occurred at the time when some of our leaders should be in the country to follow and act to stop the enemy from attacking our territories, but unfortunately they were with their families outside the country. We know that it is constitutional right for our ministers to spend their Christmas holiday with their families in America, Europe and Australia, but how could they leave country at the time when the enemy is continuing bombarding our areas and occupying them, moreover, at the time the enemy is plotting to reoccupy the whole South Sudan with the help of South Sudanese militia? We should learnt from the enemy, who always uses to surprise its opponents at religious occasion, as it had with capturing of Kurmuk, where Omer Bashir had promise the Sudanese he shall recapture Kurmuk as religious feast gift to them.  In conclusion, an appeal is made to those South Sudanese keys who usually travel outside South Sudan for Christmas to suspend their outside trip and spend their time this year with their big family the South Sudanese, such that they could encourage our army who are at front lines defending our nation. We hoped that effort shall be made by our leaders to liberate those areas under the control of the enemy for the international community shall not return these areas. The disputed area between Eritrea and Ethiopia is the living example, in addition to other disputed areas in the world.Contact the author at: willitor2000@yahoo.com
